Instructions to the participants

ASR ´2005 Seminar will be in progress after a student conference STOC on April 28-29, 2005, in the hall of the New Library on VSB-TUO campus in Ostrava, ul. 17. listopadu, Ostrava - Poruba.
Participant's seminar fee: 100,- EUR
Participant's seminar fee with IFIP sponsorship:

A limited number of sponsorships are available so that mainly young participants and participants from developing countries can benefit from reduced fees. This sponsorship is made possible by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), the main sponsor of the Workshop. In order to apply for sponsorship the participant should send an e-mail to: SeminarASR@vsb.cz. The application should state clearly:

  • Name, address, affiliation, age and position.
  • The reason for applying for sponsorship:
    • the cost of the travel to the Workshop in terms of the local currency against the participant’s income,
    • who is paying for the Workshop,
    • why the participant sees the workshop as important for his/her career and what information and benefit the Workshop is expected to give.

A maximum of 1 page of A4 is expected.

Important news Important news: After the IPM Workshop the organisers plan to publish the best papers in a special issue of the Journal :”Transactions of the VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava, Mechanical series” with ISSN 1210-0471. The selected authors will therefore be contacted regarding the acceptance of this and to effect any necessary reformatting and/or changes to the paper.


Costs connected with organizing of the seminar include a printed Book of Proceedings of abstracts and the complete Book of proceedings will be available on the internet (PDF format)

  1. Instructions for payment: bank account account number 1646894319/0800 of CSPO Ostrava-Poruba, IBAN CZ02 0800 0000 0016 4689 4319, BIC GIBACZPX, perm. symbol 0308, variab. symbol - invoice number (or 425xxx when xxx is a paper number) (it will be for KAKI, SMS - branch 159, Ostrava).
  2. Those contributions recommended by the Program committee and only those from participants who have paid will be placed in the Book of proceedings.
  3. Contribution content and deadline:
    an entire page of abstract (it is possible to include pictures and references) will be printed in the Book of Proceeding of Abstracts, (English only) by March 11, 2005 and the text of your paper in the English language, max 12 pages in total, (file of 1 MByte max.) by the day of the conference on E-mail in MS Word 2000/XP/2003 editor including pictures, diagrams, references.
  4. Abstract and papers layouts:
    abstract and contributions must be strictly worked out with the help of prepared templates without changes in style templates etc.
    Template for the entire page of abstract in English (abstract.zip).
    Template for the paper in Czech (sablona.zip).
    Template for the paper in English (template.zip).
  5. The electronic Book of proceeding will be converted into PDF format and worked out for presentation in Internet network environment, then it will be available from the web page. The look of the paper after its conversion (without other interventions) into PDF format is documented by the text of the template in Czech and in English.
  6. Please, use the Internet (E-mail) for communication with the Program committee of the seminar and for sending of the files (abstracts and papers).
