XXVIII. ASR '2003 Seminar

• It is connected to the tradition of specialized conferences, seminars and workshops with foreign participants, held at VSB-TU Ostrava since 1976 under the title of Seminar ASR.
• It creates space for the presentation of research and scientific results Ph.D. students and their supervisors, those working in cooperation with schools and other technical specialists in the branches of Automatic Control, Measuring Systems, the Application of Personal Computers and for persons using the computer network for information, diagnostic and control systems.
• 8^th international competition of students work STOC ´2003 will be in progress in the same time and it will enable contacting talented students from the fields of Automation, Informatics, and Control.
• It enables the exchange of experience from design and realization of concrete applied tasks put into operation in measuring, in diagnostics, in automated and control systems used both in control theory and industrial practice. It introduces new solutions, algorithms, prototype assembly and programs for various tasks implementation in the area of measurement, diagnostics and control including computer network applications.
• The Seminar is determined for users of measuring, diagnostic and control systems, for technicians and technologists of automated control systems, for technical workers in research, design and construction oriented on measuring, controlling, automation, control and information systems, for teachers and Ph.D. students from the area of automation, control and computer science.
• Programme committee will honour the three best Ph.D. student's papers with a special award.
