Title: Implementation protocol IPv6 in network CESNET2
Author(s): PUSTKA, Martin
Text: This contribution describes history, present state and future planes in implementation of IPv6 in the backbone network CESNET2 (AS2852). The first experimental IPv6 tests in this network started in 1999. In 2000 was build simple backbone network between some CESNET2 nodes. In the first phase we tested implementations of IPv6 stacks in operating systems. In this time were the avaliable implementations more simply, but later started some improving works on the implementations in BSD Unixes (especially NetBSD) and Linux (project USAGI). The implementations on “really routers” (Juniper, CISCO) were available too.
