| Text: | This paper deals with a problem of setting up the spark ignition car engine control unit by using a method that is known as the hardware-in-the-loop simulation. A model is created in the simulation program MATLAB/SIMULINK. All dates employed in this model are from the ŠKODA Fabia. The engine model is physically based and captured the major dynamic (lag and delay) inherent in the spark ignition torque-predictive model. This model is derived from the lumped parameter model, that is corresponding to the 4-stroke engine. |
