| Text: | This Paper presents some positive results of the research project MSM 272300012 focused on wireless communication, data collection and remote control systems. A concrete GSM controller, developed by a Czech company is used as a data controller and remote control system operated by predefined SMS messages. The GSM controller has eight logical input/output signals and special DELL bus for analogue devices like thermometers and I-button readers. It is possible to collect data and put it straight to the MS-Access database, which could be used as a data source for data processing systems developed in some database system. GSM controller can be used as a data collector only or for data measurement and transmitter to the superior data collecting GSM controller in two-level architecture. It is also possible to control some simple technology system, receive commands and system values during SMS messages, send measured values by SMS, etc. |
